Day-wise itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Madurai

Upon arrival at Madurai Airport or Railway Station, you will be received by our representative and transferred to your hotel. Check-in and relax. Later, proceed to visit the Meenakshi Amman Temple, one of the greatest architectural wonders of South India, known for its stunning gopurams and spiritual aura. If time permits, explore Gandhi Memorial Museum, Thirumalai Nayakkar Mahal, or take a walk through the local bazaars. Overnight stay at Madurai Hotel.

Day 2: Madurai – Rameshwaram

After breakfast at the hotel, check out and depart for Rameshwaram, one of the most sacred pilgrimage destinations in India, located on Pamban Island in the Gulf of Mannar. On arrival, check-in at your hotel and relax. Later, proceed to visit the prominent temples and spiritual spots. Ramanathaswamy Temple, Agni Theertham, Ramar Patham and return back to the hotel for the night stay.

Day 3: Rameshwaram local sightseeing

After morning breakfast, spend the day exploring the spiritual, mythological, and natural highlights of Rameshwaram and its surroundings places. Dhanushkodi, Arichal Munai, believed to be the starting point of the mythical Ram Setu (Adam’s Bridge), Kothandaramaswamy Temple, APJ Abdul Kalam Memorial, Pamban Bridge and return back to the hotel for the night stay.

Day 4: Rameswaram to Thanjavur

After breakfast at the hotel, check out and depart for Thanjavur. En-route you can visit Sri Ranganatha Swamy Temple then proceed to Thanjavur. On arrival, check-in at your hotel and relax. Later, proceed to visit Brihadeeswarar Temple and return back to the hotel for the night stay.

Day 5: Thanjavur – Kumbakonam – Chidambaram – Pondicherry

After breakfast at the hotel, check out and depart for Pondicherry. En-route you can visit Kumbakonam, a town renowned for its ancient temples, sacred tanks, and traditional South Indian culture. Visit the Adi Kumbeswarar Temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva, believed to be the spiritual center of the town. Kumbakonam is also known for its brass vessels and traditional filter coffee — a great spot for a short cultural break. Your next stop is Chidambaram, home to the revered Nataraja Temple, a major Shaivite pilgrimage center. Dedicated to Lord Shiva in his dancing form (Nataraja), the temple is an architectural and spiritual marvel, showcasing the philosophical idea of Shiva as the source of movement in the universe. Don’t miss the inner sanctum symbolizing the formless (Chidambara Rahasyam). In the evening, you can drive to Pondicherry. Upon arrival, check in to your hotel and relax. You may take a leisurely evening stroll along the Promenade Beach. Overnight stay at Pondicherry Hotel.

Day 6: Pondicherry sightseeing

After a delightful breakfast at the hotel, spend the day exploring the charming and culturally rich coastal city of Pondicherry, also known as Puducherry. Pondicherry sightseeing: Sri Aurobindo Ashram, Manakula Vinayagar Temple, Auroville (The City of Dawn), French Quarter, Promenade Beach, Gandhi Statue, French War Memorial, Old Lighthouse. Overnight stay at Pondicherry Hotel.

Day 7: Pondicherry – Mahabalipuram Sightseeing

After breakfast at your hotel in Pondicherry, check out and begin your scenic coastal drive toward Mahabalipuram (Mamallapuram) via the picturesque East Coast Road (ECR). On arrival in Mahabalipuram, check in to your hotel and freshen up and then visit Shore Temple, Pancha Rathas, Arjuna’s Penance, Krishna’s Butterball, Mahishasuramardini Cave & Varaha Mandapa. Overnight stay at Mahabalipuram Hotel.

Day 8: Mahabalipuram – Chennai Drop
