Day-wise itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Guwahati

Arrive at Guwahati and check-in to your hotel. Visit the famous kamakhya temple, a sacred site perched atop the nilachal hill. Enjoy a peaceful cruise on the Brahmaputra river in the evening and overnight stay in Guwahati.

Day 2: Guwahati – Kaziranga

After breakfast, drive to Kaziranga national park, a UNESCO world heritage site. Check-in at the resort and relax. In the evening, you may visit a local tribal village or enjoy a cultural performance and overnight stay in Kaziranga.

Day 3: Kaziranga – Majuli

Start the day with an early morning elephant safari followed by a jeep safari in another zone. Post breakfast, check out and drive to jorhat to catch the ferry to Majuli Island. Upon arrival and check-in to an eco-resort or homestay and overnight stay in majuli.

Day 4: Majuli Exploration

Explore the cultural heritage of Majuli by visiting famous satras like auniati and kamalabari witness traditional mask-making, pottery, and the simple lifestyle of tribal communities. Enjoy a peaceful evening by the river and return back to your eco-resort/homestay and overnight stay in Majuli.

Day 5: Majuli – Jorhat

After breakfast, take the ferry back to Jorhat. Upon arrival, visit the tocklai tea research centre and nearby tea gardens. Check in to a heritage tea estate or hotel and overnight stay in Jorhat.

Day 6: Jorhat – Sibsagar

Travel to Sibsagar, the former ahom kingdom capital. Explore ancient monuments including rang ghar, talatal ghar, kareng ghar, and shivadol temple. Learn about assam’s glorious ahom heritage and overnight stay in Sibsagar.

Day 7: Sibsagar – Dibru-Saikhowa

Proceed to Dibru-Saikhowa national park, a biodiversity hotspot in upper Assam. Check-in at the eco camp. Enjoy a boat safari and try spotting rare birds, feral horses, and river dolphins and overnight stay near Dibru-Saikhowa.

Day 8: Dibru-Saikhowa – Dibrugarh (Drop)

After breakfast, check out and drive to Dibrugarh for your onward journey with beautiful memories of Assam’s culture, wildlife, and landscapes. Tour ends.
