Day-wise itinerary

Day 1: Arrive in Guwahati & Sightseeing

After reaching the Airport / Railway Station our Iconic Travel Representative will meet you and proceed to hotel and check-in the hotel. Afterwards, step out and explore the Guwahati Umananda Temple, Navagraha Temple, and Guwahati War Memorial, Stroll along the Brahmaputra Riverfront at sunset. Overnight stay at Guwahati hotel.

Day 2: Guwahati Local Sightseeing

After breakfast, Proceed for The Kamakhya Temple at Nilachal hills in Guwahati, Assam is one of the oldest and most revered centres of Tantric practices, dedicated to the goddess Kamakhya. The temple is the center of the Kulachara Tantra Marga and the site of the Ambubachi Mela, an annual festival that celebrates the menstruation of the goddess. Also visit Basistha Ashram, Balaji Temple, Assam State Museum, Srimanta Sankardev Kalakshetra. In the evening you can visit the Fancy Bazaar. Overnight stay at Guwahati hotel.

Day 3: Guwahati to Shillong & Sightseeing

After morning breakfast, check–out from hotel & proceed to shillong. On the way, visit Umiam Lake aka Borapani, which is a mesmerizing man-made reservoir encircled with lush green hills and later proceed to Shillong & check into the hotel. Afterwards, step out and explore the Shillong, Ward’s Lake, Shillong Golf Course, and Cathedral of Mary Help of Christians. In the evening you can visit the Police Bazaar, the lively local market for shopping and local street food. Overnight stay at Shillong hotel.

Day 4: Shillong to Mawlynnong Sightseeing

After morning breakfast, check out from hotel and drive to Mawlynnong (Asia’s Cleanest Village) & check-in the Homestay & relax sometime then explore Mawlynnong. Mawlynnong Village Walk, Living Root Bridge at Riwai, Sky Walk / Bamboo Viewpoint then Proceed to Visit Dawki, Umngot River boat ride (known for crystal-clear water). Return back to the homestay. Overnight stay at Mawlynnong Homestay.

Day 5: Mawlynnong to Cherrapunjee

After morning breakfast, check out from Homestay and drive to Cherrapunjee & check-in the Hotel & relax sometime then explore Cherrapunjee. Nohkalikai Falls (India's tallest plunge waterfall), Mawsmai Cave, Seven Sisters Falls, Eco Park, Arwah Caves, Wah Kaba Falls (seasonal). Overnight stay in the hotel at Cherrapunjee.

Day 6: Cherrapunji - Double Decker Root Bridge Trekking

Early morning (5 AM) your journey (Optional) to Double Decker Root Bridge, deep in the dense tropical forest of Meghalaya is a must-visit destination known for its numerous waterfalls. It's a 3000 step journey (Trek) down the hill and the trek starts from Tyrna Village (10 Kms from Sohra, Cherrapunjee). The approx. time to complete the journey (both ways) is 5-6 Hrs. After returning from double-decker Root Bridge then return back to cherrapunji hotel. Dainthlen Falls, Thangkharang Park. Overnight stay in the hotel at Cherrapunjee.

Day 7: Cherrapunji – Shillong Sightseeing

After morning breakfast, check-out from the hotel & proceed to Shillong. Visit, Elephant Falls, Shillong Peak, Don Bosco Museum (one of the best museums in North East India showcasing tribal culture and heritage closed on Sundays), Lady Hydari Park, Laitlum Canyons. In the evening you can visit the Police Bazaar, the lively local market for shopping and local street food. Overnight stay at Shillong hotel.

Day 8: Shillong to Kaziranga sightseeing

After morning breakfast, check-out from the hotel & proceed to Kaziranga. Check-in to the hotel & relax sometime. Evening you can visit the Kaziranga National Orchid & Biodiversity Park – (India's largest orchid park). Stay Overnight at Kaziranga hotel.

Day 9: Kaziranga to Guwahati (Drop)

Early morning, head out to explore one zone of the national park riding on an elephant (on your own). Kaziranga National Park is home to many species of animals & birds including the One-horned rhino. Return to the hotel for a lip-smacking breakfast then we will proceed and drop at Guwahati Airport/Railway Station. Your tour ends with happy memories.
