Day-wise itinerary

Day 1: Pick-Up Paro and Transfe to Thimphu & Sightseeing

On arrival at Paro Airport and you will be greeted by our official and transferred to Thimphu. Check in to Thimphu hotel. Post fresh-up proceed for Thimphu city tour covering -Art & Craft school, National Institute of Traditional Medicine, National Library, Handicraft centres, The Memorial shorten built in the memory of the late King Jigme Dorji Wangchuck, Tashichoo dzong, Buddha Dordenma statue, Bhutan Simply Museum, Folk and Heritage Museum, Handmade paper factory, BBS Tower, SAARC building,15 century Changangkha monastery, Motithang mini zoo to see the rare “Takin” national animal of Bhutan and drive further down with good view of the Thimphu valley. Visit the new Drupthob nunnery temple and have free time in the market. Overnight stay at Thimphu hotel.

Day 2: Thimphu to Punkaha/Wangdue via Douchala Pass

After breakfast day excursion to Punakha/Wangdue En-route visit Simtokha Dzong and then proceed to Wangduephodrang, with a stop en-route for tea at Dochu La Pass (3,100 meters), where on a clear day you can get spectacular views of the Himalayas. In Wangdue, stop at Mehsina village & visit Chime Lhakhang – The Temple of Fertility built in 15th century by Lama Drukpa Kinley. Have your lunch and in afternoon drive to Punakha, the former capital of Bhutan, and visit Punakha Dzong. Also visit the Punakha Suspension bridge. In the evening back to Thimphu and overnight stay at Thimphu hotel.

Day 3: Thimphu – Paro Sightseeing

After complete the morning breakfast check out from hotel with bag &baggage’s and transfers to Paro. On way visit Tachogang Lhakhang. Paro sightseeing Ta Dzong, RinpungDzong, Kyichu Lhakhang then check-in to your hotel/resort and overnight stay at Paro hotel.

Day 4: Paro Sightseeing

After breakfast, proceed to visit one of the famous sites in Paro. Tiger Nest – From a distance, Bhutan’s most iconic building seems to float, weightless, halfway up a sheer cliff-face, 900 meters (3,000 feet) above the floor of the Paro Valley. As you wind your way breathlessly up the long, steep path towards Taktsang Lhakhang, the monastery periodically reveals itself, rising out of the forest, closer and more solid with each re-appearance. OR, Chele La Pass: the highest point on Bhutan’s Dantak roads crests at 3988 meters (roughly 13,000 feet) above sea level. The bright yellow sign marking its location stands next to a traditional stone fireplace and stove, a Buddhist prayer wheel marked with a quote advocating kindness, and a small hut and seating area. Return back to the hotel and overnight stay at Paro hotel /resort.

Day 5: Paro (Drop)

After breakfast check out of the hotel and drop to Paro airport. Your tour ends with happy memories. Thanks from “A2Z Trip” for visiting Bhutan.
