Day-wise itinerary

Day 1: Welcome to Hanoi

Upon arrival at Noi Bai International Airport, meet your local guide and transfer to your hotel (approx. 40 minutes). Begin your exploration with a visit to the Ho Chi Minh Complex, which tells the story of Vietnam’s beloved leader. See the Mausoleum (outside view), Presidential Palace, the unique One Pillar Pagoda, and the tranquil grounds of Ho Chi Minh’s stilt house. Continue to the Temple of Literature, Vietnam’s first university, built in 1070 to honor Confucius and brilliant scholars. Next, choose from one of Hanoi’s many insightful museums—such as the Museum of Ethnology, Military History Museum, or the Vietnamese Fine Arts Museum. In the afternoon, stroll around the iconic Hoan Kiem Lake and visit Ngoc Son Temple on its charming islet. Discover the vibrant atmosphere of the Old Quarter, with its 36 historic streets once dedicated to different trades. Wrap up your day with a nostalgic cyclo (xich lo) tour, gliding through the bustling streets just as travelers once did in decades past and then return back to your hotel and overnight stay at Hanoi hotel.

Day 2: Hanoi – Cruise into the Heart of Halong Bay

After breakfast, depart by road (approx. 3.5 hours) for the UNESCO World Heritage site of Halong Bay, a natural wonder famed for its emerald waters and thousands of limestone islets. Enjoy scenic views of the Red River Delta countryside, with rice paddies, water buffalo, and rural villages along the way. Stop en route at a local handicraft workshop. Arrive in Halong City around noon and board your luxury cruise. After a welcome drink and safety briefing, set sail across the magical bay while enjoying lunch on board. Cruise past dramatic rock formations like Dinh Huong, Fighting Cocks, and Dog Islet. Explore the spectacular Sung Sot (Surprise) Cave, and enjoy swimming at Titov Beach. As the sun sets, relax on deck, join a cooking demonstration, or try your hand at squid fishing. Dinner and overnight onboard in Halong Bay.

Day 3: Halong Bay – Back to Hanoi

Start your morning early with a peaceful view of sunrise over the bay—a truly unforgettable moment. After breakfast, sail past Turtle Islet and Human Head Islet, and continue cruising into Bai Tu Long Bay, a less-travelled yet equally breath-taking area. Return to the harbor for check-out and brunch on board. Disembark and transfer back to Hanoi by late afternoon. Day 4: Hanoi - Ho Chi Minh

Enjoy breakfast, then some free time before checking out. Transfer to Hanoi Airport for your flight to Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon)—Vietnam’s dynamic southern metropolis. Upon arrival, meet your guide and head to your hotel. The rest of the day is free to relax or explore at your own pace and overnight in Ho Chi Minh City.

Day 5: Ho Chi Minh local sightseeing

After breakfast, take a morning excursion to the Cu Chi Tunnels, a sprawling underground network used by the Viet Cong during the Vietnam War. These hand-dug tunnels, stretching over 120 km, include living quarters, kitchens, hospitals, and escape routes. Return to Saigon and enjoy the rest of your afternoon at leisure and overnight in Ho Chi Minh City.

Day 6: Departure

After breakfast and check-out, explore the highlights of Ho Chi Minh City on a short city tour: Notre-Dame Cathedral (outside view, under renovation) – A French colonial masterpiece, Central Post Office – Designed by Gustave Eiffel, War Remnants Museum – A powerful look into Vietnam’s wartime past, Ben Thanh Market – Bustling and colorful, a great spot for souvenirs. Later, transfer to the airport for your onward flight, taking with you the unforgettable memories of your journey through Vietnam.
