Day-wise itinerary

Day 1: Arrival at NJP/Bagdogra & Transfer to Gangtok

On arrival at NJP/Bagdogra Airport/Railway Station our vehicle picks up you & transfers to “Gangtok”. En-route you can enjoy the view of tea gardens. Later proceed to Gangtok & check into the hotel. In the evening you can visit the MG Marg (walkable Main Street for shopping & local vibes) by your own. Overnight stay at Gangtok hotel.

Day 2: Gangtok to Lachen

After an early breakfast we will proceed to Lachen. The route meanders through small villages with valleys upto forest grove of Kabi Langchuk. Shinghik comes next with its promises of one of the most glorious views of Kunchanjungha. Situated at an altitude of over 4000ft Singhik offers a desired break to the travelers on the way to Lachen. Visit Chungthang- the confluence of Lachen Chu and Lachun Chu (river) and Vimnala falls water falls on your way to Lachen. Reach Lachung in the late afternoon. Lachen is also a base for the popular Green Lake trek. Overnight stay at Lachen hotel.

Day 3: Lachen – Gurudongmar Lake – Lachung

Early morning (4:00 AM) you can visit, Thangu Village (4100m / 13450ft), a remote high altitude village of Tibetan Nomads and also proceed further to Chopta Valley (4000m / 13124ft) to get some breath taking view of alpine valley of frozen rivers. From Chopta Valley drive for another 30kms in 1.5hr to Gurudongmar Lake (5225m / 17143ft) close to Tibet Border, the one of the highest and biggest fresh water lakes in Sikkim and return back to the hotel & having a lovely breakfast. Later proceed to Lachung & check into the hotel. Overnight stay at Lachung hotel.

Day 4: Lachung – Yumthang Valley – Gangtok

Early morning drive to Yumthang Valley, an alpine flower valley in North Sikkim. Enjoy the scenic landscape and hot Spring and drive further for 30 kms to Yumesamdong(Zero Point) (4725m / 15503ft) or Zero Point close to Tibet Border, one of the highest motorable roads in Sikkim Full day excursion to Yumthang Valley. En route visit Sulphur Hot Spring having medicinal values. After lunch visit Handicraft Center & Lachung Monastery then Proceed to Gangtok & check into the hotel. Overnight stay at Gangtok hotel. Note: Zero Point & Katao will cost Rs. 4500 - 5500/- Extra Per Car subject to availability of Permits.

Day 5: Gangtok to Excursion Tsomgo Lake & Baba Mandir, Nathula Pass (clubbing basis)

After breakfast drive for a memorable excursion tour to Tsomgo Lake (12,400 ft. /39 km), one of the highest altitudes Himalayan Lake (Permit required). This beautiful oval shape lake almost 1 km long with its average depth 50 ft is situated in east Sikkim Himalaya. From here we will drive further 15 km to Baba Mandir, Nathula Pass (Nathula Pass is subject to availability of Permits and Weather & Road Condition and it is closed on Monday & Tuesday). We will back to Gangtok by late afternoon. Evening is free for roaming around M.G Marg, the popular Shopping area in Gangtok. Overnight stay at Gangtok hotel. NOTE : Nathula Pass is subject to availability of Permits and Weather & Road Condition which will cost Rs. 5500/- Per Car on Direct Payment basis. And it is closed on Monday & Tuesday.

Day 6: Gangtok local sightseeing

After having a lovely breakfast & you can visit Tashi View Point (Best spot for sunrise and Kanchenjunga views), Ganesh Tok & Hanuman Tok, Flower Exhibition Centre, Do Drul Chorten, Bakthang Waterfall, Namgyal Institute of Tibetology. Overnight stay at Gangtok hotel.

Day 7: Gangtok to NJP/Bagdogra (Drop)

Today after refreshment and breakfast, spend the morning at leisure shopping or short local exploration depends on your departure timing then we will proceed and drop at NJP/Bagdogra Airport / Railway Station. Your tour ends with happy memories. Thanks from “A2Z Trip” for visiting Sikkim.
